In Oslo
Five days in and still feeling it. That’s some good news right there. It is – however – lonely out here, with none of my brothers to lean on. While playing I do alright, it’s after the show you feel it. Coming to an empty dressing room, with your laptop as sole company. When I was young that was all I needed really. I could stay in doors and write for hours on end, listening to the same record on repeat. Now I need the comfort of companionship, conversation and comradery. Or else I’ll end up doing nothing. Watch episode after episode of whatever show I can get my hands on. As of late it’s been a somewhat dystopian theme to everything I watch. Just finished the second and last season of Carnivàle – and loved every single moment of it. The Book Of Eli was pretty much as bad as I expected. The Road is next on the list. I loved the book, even though it took me four months to finish, so I hope the movie will be easier to devour. I couldn’t tell you why everything I watch these days is about the Apocalypse, but I guess it’s gotta mean something, right? Shit …
So I played Århus, love that place Voxhall, I played Storan in Göteborg and tonight I play John Dee in Oslo. Come tomorrow when I leave the buss, my feet will land on the soil of home – Stockholm. See you there …
