Another Saturday wasted …
Ain’t much new happing around here. Just cooked some broccoli soup, after a coffee and cake date with friends topped by a stroll in the snow covered F-hain Volkspark. My dog ate some shit, we threw the stick around for a while. Berlin is colder that I remember it ever being. Day before yesterday I flew to Stockholm and bought an apartment – for the first time in my life. So … come May, me and the Mrs and our beloved dawg Bess are taking our things and head north again! Feels great, even though I am going to miss Berlin like crazy. I love it here, make no mistake! And I think both me and the Mrs will be coming back as frequently as humanly possible.
Meanwhile, I’m deep in Laurel Canyon awe! Reading the book “Laurel Canyon – The inside story of Rock and Roll’s legendary neighborhood“. Once I’m done I go from there to “Canyon Of Dreams“, a big ass coffee table book beyond beautiful. For the first time ever, I think I’ve found and era AND a place I sure wish I would’ve lived. For the coming weeks it’ll be nothing but
Crosby, Stills & Nash, The Byrds, The Turtles, Buffalo Springfield, Jefferson Airplane, The Mamas & The Papas, Joni Mitchell, Zappa and all that loveliness that stem from one of the most exciting times in musical history. Now please plug in your headphones, turn on your Spotify and play Helplessly Hoping by Crosby, Stills & Nash.
