30 years in …
… and I’ve finally managed to get some grade A beard to grow on my ever expanding chin and cheeks – and I’ve got the pictures to prove it!!! It ain’t as thick as one could hope, but it’s all I’ve got and so I’ll have to make do. Got some new straws on my back and chest too … turning into a man-dude after all. Go figure!
A few days ago I took a train to Falun, where Johan Rosengren lives and work. Together we edited the final version of the video for The 24th, and it looks great. It’s probably the weirdest and most personal video I’ve ever made. No story. No drama. No color. No lip-sync. No dance moves. No explosions. No bikinis. Just me riding around my birth town Oxelösund on a bike, visiting some of the places where I hung out a lot growing up. Hopefully I’ll get to show it to the grand kids one day, and tell them where grandpa used to skateboard, blow shit up with firecrackers and make out with older girls.
As of yet I don’t know when the video will be released – meeting my label today to discuss the near future, make some plans and hopefully start planning the fall tour. I’m writing a bunch of new songs right now, so maybe I’ll have a new album come November … we’ll see … For now, I focus on getting my new flat spotless. Till then, it’s all work and no play.
Yes! A blog filled with exciting news. (: Congrats on the beard. Many of my guy friends are attempting to grow some form of facial hair, however they’re only a bit more than half of your age, and therefore have awkward, patchy fuzz instead of anything that could be classified as a beard.
The video sounds really interesting, and I can’t wait to watch it. I’m sure your grandchildren will be amused by your many tales of adolescent devilry. Of course the possiblity of a new album is always exciting as well- keep it up, Rasmus.
Good luck with the flat cleaning. I know that can be a chore.
