D-day …

May 18, 2010

In just a few hours the clock strikes twelve and today becomes yesterday. Once more I sit here, sipping a glass of Cab and thinking to my self: Why have I gone and done such a stupid ass thing like write, record and release another new album? The answer is: simply because I have to. No matter how angry, sick or horny I get, how depressed or manic I feel, the music always prevail over emotion. You see, that’s the beauty of it. It’s so simple. Find something you enjoy, and keep doing it until you can’t muster it no more. What else is there?

So in a few hours: just as tomorrow becomes today, my 7th album (if you count them all) becomes public property. I hope y’all like it. This one is as much from the heart as it is from the gut. It is the start of something new. A door has been opened – if you will – and I invite you inside.

Here’s a picture of Johan and Simon who shot the video for “The 24th”.

Pre-order The 24th

April 16, 2010

Found this dude on my way to the office …

Found this dude today …

Hey all … over at Bengans you can now pre-order “The 24th” on both CD and LP … I would recommend getting both! You see, one is very big, and the other one is a lot smaller. One for your bag and one for your coat or jacket. The LP comes in beautiful gatefold, so Andreas’ artwork will look gorgeous! Also, on the 19th (Sthlm) and 22nd (GBG) of May I’ll play a short instore gig at Bengans. Be sure to swing by and say hello! I’ll be the 30 year old crooner with a dodgy looking hair cut and a very small but sexy guitar, perhaps sitting in the corner, pretend-texting on my cell. When I’m not singing songs of joy and love.

And my dearest Germany … I may be moving away from Berlin to go live in Stockholm again … but I shall return on the 2nd of June to play at Magnet. From there my travels will take me to Hamburg (Prinzenbar) and Köln (Studio 672). Come summer or fall I will do a longer tour throughout Europe … more info will follow! Thanks for listening.

Wovenhand support tour …

March 24, 2010

At the end of May I’ll be playing a bunch of shows together with Wovenhand from Denver, Colorado, throughout Scandinavia. I’ve been a fan of Sixteen Horsepower for as long as I can remember, so playing support for the same guys will be a real treat! Check out the SHOWS page for more info. After these dates – if everything works out – I’ll head down to Germany for some additional gigs. Stay tuned to find out where and when.

New gig …

March 10, 2010

galagubbar… well maybe not gig … but I will play a few songs on the upcoming – and first ever – Kampsportsgalan (Martial Arts Awards) in Stockholm on March 20th. I feel equally honored and baffled by the fact that they asked me, but as I love both Kickboxing and Muay Thai it will give me the greatest of pleasure to provide some interludes for a crowd – mainly consisting of people skilled enough to kill me with one swift blow. Keep your fingers crossed they’ll like me!
